See the new David Fincher thriller ‘Gone Girl’

The Louisiana International Film Festival hosts a pre-release screening of the Ben Affleck film based on a best-selling novel. In this weekend’s big movie release Gone Girl, Affleck plays Nick Dunne, a man whose wife has gone missing. As the investigation intensifies, reporters become more intrigued with the case, and Dunne’s portrait of a blissful marriage begins to crumble, making the public wonder if Dunne had anything to do with his wife’s disappearance. The film is based on the book of the same name by Gillian Flynn and marks David Fincher’s return to the director’s chair after working on the Netflix series House of Cards and 2011’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. While the latter was considered a disappointment at the box office, Fincher (Se7en, Zodiac) is best when he works in the mystery genre. While the movie officially hits theaters on Friday, the Louisiana International Film Festival will host a free screening of the film tonight. Seating starts at 7 p.m. The screening starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. For more information and to register for the event, click here. Rated R. View the trailer below.
